La Guardia Nueva is a trio of young contemporary guitarists with a very Buenos Aires sound, who have been preserving the Tango roots since 2014.

The mainly perform instrumental music of typical orchestras of the genre, but with their own arrangements. Guest singers also join their performances.

In 2020 they produced “Tanguemia” for the 15th Annual Latin American Cultural Week, New York. They were selected by CIRCULART (Colombia) in alliance with INAMU (Argentina).

WINNERS of the First World Cup of Tango Orchestras/Tango Sin Fin 2017.

They toured Colombia extensively, performing in concerts and tango workshops at the Festival Cantabailanta/2017 and at the School of Music – Fundación Canto por la Vida. They played in cultural spaces in Cali, Medellín, among others.

In the City of Buenos Aires they performed at Esquina Homero Manzi, House of the National Endowment for the Arts, Teatro Hasta Trilce. They toured the northern and southern provinces of Argentina.

They participated in the 10th Piazzolla Marplatense Festival at the Colón Theater in Mar del Plata, and the 5th. Esquel Tango Festival (Chubut).

On Argentine Public Television they played in the TV program “La Hora Del Tango”.

Invited in 2022 by the Director of Culture of Canelones (UY) to perform masterclasses and concerts in Canelones and in Montevideo.
